Department of Information Technology

The department offers Information Technology programmes at NTA level 4, 5 and 6. A who successful completes NTA Level 4 is awarded a Basic Technician Certificate in Information Technology (BTCIT), which who completes NTA 5 is awarded Technician Certificate in Information Technology (TCIT), and that who completes both NTA Level 5 and 6 is awarded a Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)

Basic Technician Certificate in Information Technology (NTA Level 4)

The focus of this programme is to produce creative, innovative & competent graduates who will cope up with the dynamic changes of technology and business environment to enhance this philosophy, the programme is designed and developed such that it:
  • Provides appropriate information technologies and tools to develop application and business solution
  • Provides appropriate techniques and tools to support technical and end –user activities
  • Provide appropriate skills for lifelong learning and self-employment
The main Objectives of this programme are:
  • To provide appropriate skills an use of information technologies, techniques and tools to develop and support both technical and business solution
  • To offer intensive theoretical and practical competencies
  • To create graduates capable of self employment and life-long learning

Technician Certificate in Information Technology (NTA Level 5)

The focus of this programme is to produce creative, innovative & competent graduates who will cope up with the dynamic changes of technology and business environment to enhance this philosophy, the programme is designed and developed such that it:
  • Provides appropriate information technologies and tools to develop application and business solution
  • Provides appropriate techniques and tools to support technical and end –user activities
  • Provide appropriate inter-personal skills for lifelong learning and self-employment
The main Objectives of this programme are:
  • To provide appropriate skills, Use of information technologies, techniques and tools to develop and support both technical and business solutions
  • To offer intensive theoretical and practical competencies
  • To create graduates capable of self employment career advancement and life-long learning
  • To realize the specified programme rationale, philosophy and aims

Diploma in Information Technology (NTA Level 6)

The focus of this programme is to produce creative, innovative & competent graduates who will cope up with the dynamic changes of technology and business environment to enhance this philosophy, the programme is designed and developed such that it:
  • Provides appropriate information technologies and tools to develop application and business solution
  • Provides appropriate techniques and tools to support technical and end –user activities
  • Provide appropriate skills for lifelong learning and self-employment
